Well now... You have reached a special little page here at Groove
Northwest where you get to hear all about us - who we are, what we do, and why we spend so much free time providing you with the latest info about the Northwest music scene...
|
GROOVE NORTHWEST is a free promotional tool for bands on and near the west coast and fans everywhere. Groove Northwest sells nothing here, and any links are provided for access only, not any paid advertisements. We are all musicians running this ship, and we want music fans to have access to all the bands and cool stuff we can think of! Now get your groove on and search.
NEWSFLASH- Groove Northwest has been hired by the Statesman Journal to cover northwest music acts/music scene. When you are ready to send your demos/promo pack for review in the paper/GNW, please send them HERE. We will separate reviews for the paper and the website, as well.
Also, if you want to get involved with meeting bands, reviewing acts, or writing stuff for the site, please contact us.
And PLEASE... link to us if you play music or love watching others do it.
THE CREW

Mike S is the coolest cat around... this guy could blow up City Hall, replace the engine in your car, play "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" and make you laugh till you pee'd all over yourself - all within a period of 10 minutes or so. He is the brains behind the operation and an all-around good guy.
When asked about how he started GrooveNW, he replied: "I just kept pressing buttons until something cool happened."
|

Paul J is a shit-hot musician and Mike's co-accomplice in most matters. Paul is responsible for hooking up the Statesman Journal gig, and promotes the site like no other. He
is also responsible for the "Paul's Picks" page - but his biggest accomplishment is that he somehow managed to convince the hottest girl in the Salem area to marry him.
|

Fran G is an accomplished musician from the Portland area that has recently joined the crew. She has written for Two Louie's, the Rocket, etc. in the past, and is ready to bring her knowledge to the masses through Groove Northwest. I once heard a rumor that she beat Mike in an arm wrestling tournament - pics coming soon...
|

James K doesn't play music.
James doesn't even like music. But after being bribed with a
shot of good vodka, she decided to lend some time to design
the site. She can also kick your ass at a handstand contest.
