4th Plain Jiant

Talk about your tight bands! Rarely will I ever see a band that is so solid that errors do not exist. Some would say the group is not pushing themselves to the limit if no mistakes are made, but the music designed by 4th Plain Jaiant is really quite good. The band really does follow in the footsteps of Dave Mathews, though they probably hate me saying that. Acoustic guitar, super drummer, fat bass, great sax, and tasty drums all lead to a finely polished end product. If you are a fan of D.M., do yourself a favor and go to the show and buy a cd. It is quite outstanding music, and they offer great, tasty changes in what they do.

The band comes from Vancouver, Wa., and plays a bit at the Arnada in the same town, if you cannot find them elsewhere. I have seen them play at Roshambo's in Bend, and at the aforementioned place. Both were good shows; they seem to be more of a sit-down-and-listen act than get-crazy-and-dance type I normally go to. Nonetheless, excellent all around musicians...and there is a rumor that the drummer built his own drum kit...
