Tire Belly
Ok, Ok. I am a child of the eighties, and Eddy Van Halen was one of the reasons I began to play guitar. With that admission given, I must say that Goob, the guitar master of Tire Belly, kicks ASS! This dude just flat out rips your noodle off and throws it at you. The whole act is about kicking butt onstage and having a good time. But man, Goob really smokes. If you dig the Van Halen guitar stuff, please go check these boys out. For a three piece, they are monsters!
When I saw them at the Roseland Theater in Portland, they really thrilled me; I hadn't seen a band do the tough guitar stuff for a long time (can you say grunge, kiddies?). And truly, honestly, whole heartedly, 100 percent...the band is super nice. They are fun to hang out with like nobody else, and they'll let you stay in their homes if your ever in L.A.! I don't know if they have a CD, but send me one if you do, Tire Belly!
